Fresh and contemporary interiors, with elegant and refined details characterize this work in Catalan land based on a project by LUV Studio.

The kitchen is recognized for its island structure, visually closed by the countertop in Statuario Neolith. The vertical surfaces alternate the cream-colored matt lacquer with the full-height doors in matt natural oak. Black waxed iron finishes create contrasting plays of strong character. An open niche in oak with internal lighting that expresses a strong attention to detail embellishes the equipped wall of the kitchen.

The material and chromatic uniformity also returns in the living area with an equipped wall that is characterized by a light and delicate MDF front. The waxed black iron shelves stand out that emerge from the oak backdrop. The stylistic line also continues in the sleeping area, with elegant white lacquered wardrobes and recessed handles in the bedroom and horizontal reading drawers with opaque oak fronts for the suspended bathroom cabinets.

Between essential and contemporary

A contemporary style apartment reflects the elegance and modernity of the young couple who lives there. Neutral shades and a touch of mustard-colour give grit and character to the essential interiors with refined furniture and care of detail.

From the entrance, the view opens to the large living room illuminated by natural light from the back windows. Neutral colors soften the design lines shaped by the uniform warm light coming from the wall lighting. Refined design elements that are not only the light source of the interiors but the firm of the entire apartment. The medium gray sofa, visually lightened by the thin base and chromed steel feet, masters the TV area. The round pouf and the mustard-colored velvet cushions give a touch of fresh and lively color. Placed at the front, the TV cabinet is recognizable by the dark gray tones that alternate glossy Lacobel surfaces with lower lacquered drawers.

At the center of the living area an important dining table stands out with rounded corners in white marble with light veins, enriched by a light support structure in black metal. The mobile office on the side wall chromatically matches with the fabric chairs of the living area and anticipates, by inserting natural oak shelves, the shades and materials of the adjacent kitchen.

Placed on angle, the kitchen is equipped with a central cooking island with oak snack point, matches with the upper wall units. The doors of the lower volumes characterize the kitchen with theirs dark tones while the top in Dekton Kira Natural, opaque and slightly veined, flows into the custom-made sink, showing all its elegance. On the back, the white Lacobel lighted up by the under-cabinet LED makes the room brigther. The black glass ceramic appliances of Smeg’s Dolce Still Novo series fit to the hob and the built-in downdraft hood in front of the burners.

The sleeping area comes through a corridor with white walls and glossy lacquered cream-coloured doors. Here, the dark gray guest bathroom recalls the shades of the kitchen with a high service cabinet accompanied by a lower element with Lacobel top. On the other hand, the master bathroom is different from colours and materials. the Emperador dark marble top of the services base cabinet is surmounted by a mirror with bulbs with steel edge.

The bedroom renounces dark shades favoring neutral tones of bronze-stained oak, accompanied by a white chest of drawers with a Lacobel top. At the end, the walk-in closet develops on the four sides of the adjacent room, characterized by hanging elements and shelves in bilaminate wood with a fabric effect. At the center, illuminated by a ceiling pendant lamp, a chest of drawers that openable on both sides. Pull-out glass shelves and recessed aluminum handles underline the attention to detail.

Comfort between the peaks

Realization of a fantastic high altitude apartment located in a new and modern residential complex with a breathtaking views.

Project: Studio Arch. Mario Cassinelli
Year: 2019
Site: Foppolo

The concept of the project expected the use of the same natural material of the building for most of the furniture, i.e. natural heat-treated and brushed larch. As can be seen from the images, the entrance is characterized by full-height boiserie in which LEDs for diffused lighting are inserted in lateral grooves. Towards the end of the corridor there is a console where a bioethanol fireplace has been installed which visually warms the mountain charm environment. On the side, a TV wall is covered in gray cantilevered marble and has an external backlit frame and broken-down elements covered in gold leaf. The TV cabinet follows the profiles of the gold-colored geometric graphics, which acts as a precious shape. The kitchen has a stainless steel top and a peninsula with a hob and snack table with stools. The dining table and the snack top are made up of rough tables placed side by side and part of the bark has been kept along the edges. In the rooms the larch is accompanied by opaque white lacquered wardrobes and backlit boiserie.

Modern lines in harmony with the past

Renovation of a single-family villa in a modern key in which restored ancient elements, memories of past generations, warm both hearts and the interior.

Project: Modulor
Year: 2019
Site: Bergamo

In this renovation, only the ground floor of a small villa in the Bergamo area was touched. The design concept was to combine two styles at the antipodes: the extremely modern with ancient elements in an harmonious combination. The first intervention was the elimination of the kitchen wall in favor of a totally open space environment and the stone floor was covered with a light gray Cimento mortar, however the “carpets” of warm parquet were kept. The wood, which was previously predominant, has been replaced by an extremely neutral and elegant glossy lacquer wood.

Some touches of color, such as red sofas and some decorative elements warm the house, make it cozy and comfortable and match with the medium gray of the columns and part of the ceiling. The kitchen is super hi-tech with top and table in non-plastered Basaltina, latest generation appliances from Smeg’s Dolce Stil Novo line and induction hob with a gas fire for traditional cooking. Each corner is exploited to the maximum of its capacity and possibility for the greatest storage space. So also the TV cabinet that develops throughout the niche that goes from the entrance to the fireplace area is made in glossy lacquered with a very discreet element in black iron sheet serving the television.

Some antique furniture matches this modern scenario and, in combination with the wooden rugs on the floor, make the environment more familiar. The living area is large and airy, as well as the entrance that immediately gives visual access to each area of the floor without any partition: on the right there is the dining area and on the left the part of the living room with sofas and kitchen. The corridor and the guest bathroom have also been revised: an old cabinet with sink acts as an anteroom and gives access to a narrow and long bathroom, dressed in a beautiful gray marble on the walls.

An attic to the centimeter

In this totally renovated attic, each space has been designed to make the environment airy but at the same time usable in all its parts.

Project: Paolo Demarini
Year: 2017
Site: Milano

An attic of an old railing house with a splendid view of the center of Milan. The goal was to make the environment as modern and functional as possible, recovering the original exposed beams and all the depth of the roof, the height of which descends soft from the ridge. The entrance overlooks the long and narrow living room where a plasterboard library structure accompanies the entire left wall up to the sleeping area. On the right side the sofa, designed by Maderna Salotti, has an island that can be dragged and hooked frontally to make it a double bed available to any guests. The large furniture in the living area embraces the sofa and the dining area and is characterized by large, very low and deep drawers with oversized runners. The material chosen is a textured gray laminate with a very delicate fabric texture. The same is present, in a different shade, in the sleeping area. Also here, the bedroom furnishings, from the chests of drawers to the hanger, are low and deep in order to use the most of the inclination of the attic. The two bathrooms are respectively in oak, with the back wall equipped, and in wenge.
