The fascination of matter

A bright, prestigious and elegant Milanese apartment in which materials with very different aesthetics, finishes and performances come together in a harmonious union.

The emblem of this prestigious Milanese apartment is certainly the kitchen, embellished by the presence of this variegated marble with an oriental flavor. A Wasabi marble whose neutral tone is interspersed with green veins that seem to capture the external vegetation to transform it into a piece of furniture. The lower volumes of the kitchen and the textured white lacquered wall units with recessed handles express linearity and elegance. They are accompanied by a chain in brushed steel able to increase their resistance. The professional touch of this finish echoes the material of the appliances placed in correspondence with the equipped wall.

Also the service shelves on the bottom, that house recipe books and small objects, are covered in steel. Different materials of origin, aesthetics and performances find meaning in the refined stylistic combination. Elements that analyzed individually are able to strongly characterize the interiors but express their maximum stylistic charge when they are combined with each other.

A Wasabi marble slab stands out on the wall between the living area and the kitchen as an artistic composition. Divided into geometric portions and backlit, it fills the visual space and connects the peninsula kitchen with the Living area.

From the entrance, a cabinet with mirrored sliding doors welcomes and reflects all the majesty of the living area. Light-colored furnitures, with recessed handles, are placed at the service of the living area in order to leaving the most distinctive accessories as the undisputed protagonists of the room. Among these, the large dark gray sofa, the antique table, the grand piano, the Persian rugs and the sumptuous chandeliers.

The textured white of the furniture, rough to the touch, is combined with a very thin but soft black waxed iron that adorns the shoulders of the TV cabinet and the structure of the bar cabinet. The doors and the back have been deliberately engraved in squares to move the exterior design.

The passage between the living and sleeping areas is broken by a false ceiling lighted corridor, painted with a warm Farrow and Ball ocher color. A touch of color also fits delicately into the sleeping area. The bedroom has a side wall in a strong sage green and the mirrored sliding doors, which allow access to the walk-in closet, reflect and expand the perception of space.

The master bedroom enjoys a beautiful city view thanks to the large window at the bottom. Furniture in transparent plexiglass and white lacquered are combined with fabrics and curtains in predominantly neutral colors and a dove-gray background. Shelves and drawers in dark wood give to the walk-in closet a prestigious and sober aesthetic impact, lightened by light-colored shelves, covered in a soft eco-leather.

Last but not least are the three bathrooms, different in their architectural design but similar in the combination of materials. The medium gray tiles of the floor in their vertical declination are characterized by a thin texture, which is combined with the white ceramics of the shower tray and washbasins and bathroom cabinets in light Lacobel. The transparencies and reflections of this material soften and lighten the environment. Pointed lights and ceiling LED strips alternate the natural light throughout the apartment.
